Georgetown’s Canal

5.30.15: On a late spring morning I headed out for an eight mile run around Georgetown and the Potomac River. From Arlington, I ran over to the eastern terminus of the C&O Canal Towpath Trail, which passes through Georgetown before intersecting with the Rock Creek Trail. I usually don’t run through this portion of the trail, but decided to capture some of what is the only “developed” part of the towpath. As a bonus, right before turning around I was lucky enough to see a couple of geese families! Unlike the geese I usually encounter who tend to hiss as I pass, these geese didn’t seem to mind me taking their picture. Not bad for a Saturday morning.
